FleetPride acquires Heavy Vehicle Parts

FleetPride, Inc. has acquired Heavy Vehicle Parts, Inc. The acquisition includes facilities in Odessa and Midland, Texas, bringing the aftermarket parts distributor’s number of Texas locations to 19.

Heavy Vehicle Parts has served both the Odessa and Midland markets since 1982. Pat Dawson, the company’s former owner, will stay on as operations.

The acquisition strengthens FleetPride’s foothold in the West Texas market and improves the company’s ability to service the region’s customers in the oil and gas industry. “Sixty-one percent of Texas’ oil production and 17 percent of Texas’ natural gas production comes from the Permian Basin – and more than 2,300 oil and gas related companies call the Permian Basin home – making this a prime market for heavy-duty transportation,” says Mike Paxton, a FleetPride vice president.
