Sam Faucette, Old Dominion Freight Line’s director of safety compliance, training & recruiting, received the Safety Director of the Year award from the North Carolina Trucking Association during the organization’s annual safety conference.

Faucette has been with Old Dominion since 2002. He began his career as a mechanic at Burlington Industries 30 years ago.
In addition to his work at Old Dominion, Faucette also promoted industry safety while serving on the NCTA Safety Management Council, where he recently completed his term as Chairman. He previously served as secretary, treasurer and vice chairman.
Jeff Crissey is Fusable's content director for OEM/Aftermarket and is responsible for coordinating special editorial projects and events for the company's Commercial Carrier Journal, Equipment World and Overdrive brands. Prior to this role, Crissey served as editor of CCJ for 10 years. He holds a Bachelor's Degree from Auburn University and has been a member of Fusable's editorial staff for 27 years, where his coverage of industry topics has earned numerous regional and national awards over the years. Before joining Fusable, Crissey was a production assistant at CNN in Atlanta.
