Whiting Systems Inc. announced that Ralph Bradbury has accepted the position of chief operating officer at WSI, effective immediately. “Ralph brings a wealth of knowledge from the trucking industry, and we greatly value his accomplishments and network within the industry,” says Russ Whiting, WSI president. “As we implement our growth strategy his experience will be invaluable with helping us improve overall operational efficiencies as we manage our expansion in the coach, rail and trucking market place.”

Bradbury started in the trucking industry in 1978 and became president of Continental Express in 1986. He was instrumental in its successful growth from five tractors to more than 500 tractors. The company was generating more than $90 million in annual revenue before selling to the Celadon Group of Indianapolis.

Ralph also served as chairman of the board at the Arkansas Trucking Association from 1994 to 1995, and served on the board of directors two separate times from 1986 to 2000, and again from 2005 to 2009.
