The Heavy Truck Division of LKQ Corp., an alternative auto and heavy truck parts provider, recently opened four more heavy-duty truck salvage yards. In April, LKQ opened a facility in Monterrey, Mexico. In June, LKQ added locations in West Monroe, La., and Jackson, Miss., with the acquisition of Plunk’s Truck Parts & Equipment. And in July, LKQ opened a yard in Wilson, N.C.

“We are excited to now offer our customers the combined inventory of 11 heavy-duty truck salvage yards in North America,” says Lenny Damron, senior vice president of the Heavy Truck Division. “With more parts and trucks in inventory, we can give customers a level of service and selection that is better than ever.”

Damron says the company’s growing network of heavy-duty truck recycled parts locations has allowed it to set up the LKQ Heavy Duty Truck Core center at its facility in Chicago formerly known as ARSCO – Automotive Rebuilders Supply Co. “The additional locations also provide us with more flexibility to meet our customers’ needs, and that is very important to LKQ,” he says.

LKQ provides aftermarket collision replacement products, recycled collision and mechanical OEM products and refurbished OEM collision replacement products such as wheels, bumper covers and lights used to repair light vehicles. LKQ operates more than 300 facilities, offering its customers a broad range of replacement systems, components and parts to repair automobiles, light-duty trucks and heavy-duty trucks.
