Kenworth Truck Co. has extended the T700 and Paccar MX Engine Tour another month and an additional 2,400 miles through the United States, from Hermon, Maine, to Pharr, Texas. “The Kenworth T700 and the Paccar MX drew large crowds of truck operators everywhere they stopped along the route of the recent tour through the United States and Canada,” says Gary Moore, Kenworth assistant general manager for marketing and sales. “The interest energized our dealers and created excitement among customers, particularly as they learned more about the extremely quiet, smooth and fuel-efficient Paccar MX Engine and heard it for themselves.”

Kenworth’s T700 and Paccar MX Engine Tour concludes its Canadian run with a stop at Bayview Kenworth in Moncton, New Brunswick on FridayOct. 1. The encore U.S. tour will then continue with a stop at C-B Kenworth-Bangor in Hermon, Maine, on Oct. 5. The tour continues through Oct. 28 with stops in Connecticut, Ohio, Illinois, Nebraska and Texas as follows: Tri-State Kenworth, Enfield, Conn. (Oct. 7); Youngstown Kenworth, Hubbard, Ohio (Oct. 15); Rockford Kenworth, Loves Park, Ill. (Oct. 18); Sahling Kenworth, Kearney, Neb. (Oct. 20); Performance Kenworth, Houston (Oct. 25); Kenworth of South Texas, Converse, Texas (Oct. 26); and Kenworth of South Texas, Pharr, Texas (Oct. 28).

“This tour extension allows more truck operators, who may not have gotten the opportunity before, to see the most aerodynamic truck in Kenworth’s history and the fuel-efficient 2010 Paccar MX engine,” Moore said. “They can also talk with veteran truck driver Mike McDowell, who drove the T700 all over the continental United States during the initial five-month 20,000-mile tour.”
