Pegasus TransTech announced that Transflo Express locations can now be found through an iPhone application – making it easier for drivers to find truck stop locations offering the truck stop scanning service.

Truck Stop Coupons, an iPhone app developed by trucking publisher Randall-Reilly, can be downloaded for free in the iTunes App Store. The application allows drivers to locate truck stops across the United States and identify which ones offer Transflo Express truck stop scanning.

“The advantage of combining Truck Stop Coupons and Transflo Express scan locations is total convenience for the drivers,” said Bob Helms, Pegasus TransTech chairman and CEO. “On their iPhone, drivers can quickly spot truck stops along their route and in their preferred network where they can scan their delivery paperwork and get discount coupons for their personal and business needs.”

When drivers open the application, it shows truck stops within a 50-mile radius of the phone’s location. At a quick glance, the trucker can see whether the truck stop offers Transflo Express truck stop scanning. The Transflo Express logo appears along with the truck stop’s address and phone number.

To see where the truck stop is located, drivers tap the “MAP” button and the location will plot on the map as a push pin.

For driving directions from the iPhone location to the truck stop, a driver taps the pushpin and it will quickly provide the address of the truck stop, then tap the blue arrow on the address and the route from the truck stop to the phone will appear on the phone. If a driver then taps the “start” button on the top right of the screen, it takes him into turn by turn directions.

The iPhone app is a quick and easy way for drivers to find the more than 750 truck stop locations that offer Transflo Express, including Pilot Flying J, Love’s, and many independent travel centers.

Versions of the Truck Stop Coupons app will be available in upcoming months for the Blackberry and Android smart phones.
