Airclic, a provider of software for mobile supply chain and logistics operations, announced it has upgraded its Mobile Performance Platform to take advantage of the most recent Android development updates to further expand its product deployment on the Android operating system.

The Android operating system is supported in more than 30 countries and is the only platform to gain market share for six consecutive months. According to Gartner, as of the second quarter of this year, Android smart phone shipments have grown nearly 886 percent year-on-year.

“As reliance on the Android operating system increases, Airclic customers can be assured that our products will support the advancements and new capabilities of the platform,” said Rick Pontin, CEO of Airclic.

“Many of our customers and prospects want to take advantage of the functionality available within the Android operation system, especially the availability of new bar code scanning technologies,” Pontin continued. ”With this upgrade, businesses using the Android platform are now able to read a barcode by taking a picture of it, rather than scan a barcode for recognition. This eliminates the need for a sophisticated scanning device and resulting in tremendous cost savings.”

Airclic says its Mobile Performance Platform enables it to rapidly introduce new products in response to evolving market demands. Customers are guaranteed 99.9 percent uptime and the ability to scale with their organization’s growing needs. For more information on Airclic’s technology visit this site.
