Polk says it has enhanced its National Vehicle Population Profile to deliver additional value through an improved online user interface, faster response time and three new features. Polk says automotive parts manufacturers, distributors, wholesalers and retailers looking for help with product planning, inventory management and marketing decisions now have access to the following additional information within NVPP:
• Polk’s Market Entrance Report, providing monthly access to vehicle counts for new vehicles hitting the road, enabling users to make quicker and more informed production, distribution and stocking decisions and increase speed-to-market by determining projected need for specific replacement parts for vehicles on the road;
• Part Catalog Integration, allowing customers to tie aftermarket and OEM parts catalogs directly to NVPP data online, to help understand which parts are most popular and which are nearing obsolescence; and
• Class 4-8 vehicle data for the commercial aftermarket industry to take advantage of the benefits of NVPP and enable them to make informed decisions about producing, ordering and stocking replacement parts for commercial vehicles.

“With these new features, we’re helping customers make confident, strategic business decisions not only quicker, but across more vehicles on the road,” says Mark Seng, vice president of sales and client services for Polk’s aftermarket and commercial vehicle business.
