Longistics, a full-service provider of global logistics solutions, has announced that Duane Long, chairman, is the 2010 recipient of the UNC-Tsinghua Center for Logistics and Enterprise Development Industry Partner Award. This award is given to the individual who has contributed the most to the success of CLED throughout the year.

Launched in 2007, CLED brings together two of the world’s leading educational institutions for logistics and operations research to focus on logistics and global supply-chain management research that can enhance trade between the United States and China, support economic development and address issues of business competitiveness, such as offshore outsourcing.

Long serves on the industry advisory board of the UNC-Tsinghua Center for Logistics and Enterprise Development, and Longistics was a gold sponsor of the center’s 2009 International Food & Drug Symposium. Longistics also has supported center research in cold chain logistics in China.
