The American Trucking Associations named Barbara Windsor as chairman of the board for 2010-2011, succeeding Tommy Hodges of Titan Transfer Inc. Windsor is president and chief executive officer of Hahn Transportation, a New Market, Md.-based specialized regional trucking firm that hauls refined petroleum and construction materials throughout the Mid-Atlantic corridor.

In recent years Windsor chaired the National Tank Truck Carriers and ATA’s Safety Task Force, which put forth the 18-point safety agenda adopted as policies by ATA in 2009.

Windsor’s grandfather, James Russell Hahn, founded Hahn Transportation in 1933, and her parents were deeply involved in the day-to-day operations of the company. Windsor’s mother, Rebecca, was the first female to sit on ATA’s Executive Board.

At ATA’s annual banquet, Windsor expressed her deep commitment to following the great examples of those who served before her, pledging dedication and passion to her new role as ATA chairman.
