Despite the sluggish recovery predicted by economists in 2010, more than a few software developers in the transportation industry experienced record sales.

One of the trend setters is EBE Technologies, a provider of enterprise content management, workflow and business process automation solutions for the trucking industry, which announced a record year for its 2010 fiscal year ending September 30th.

For FY 2010, revenue growth increased 31 percent as compared to 18 percent in 2009. Additionally, EBE acquired 63 new clients comprising both asset and non-asset transportation providers, the company says.

A web-based CSA 2010 driver dashboard, a driver performance management workflow solution, and integrated recruiting application were among the numerous new application offerings, the company says.

EBE’s new client acquisitions included Epes Carriers, Bennett International Group, Maverick Transportation, Stevens Transport, Shaw Industries Group, Gordon Trucking and G & P Trucking Company. The organizations run dispatching solutions from TMW, McLeod, and Innovative as well as custom, in-house developed systems to which EBE’s applications provide direct integration.

“During the economic downturn we invested heavily in developing applications to help the industry reduce costs,” said Larry Kerr, president of EBE Technologies.
