Brad Nuss, chief financial officer of Nuss Truck & Equipment, recently hosted Minnesota’s U.S. Sen. Amy Klobuchar and Rep. Tim Walz at the dealership’s Rochester branch. Nuss and the dealership’s staff spoke with Klobuchar and Walz about issues facing business today in addition to specific items that affect truck dealers. Nuss also had the opportunity to ask both Klobuchar and Walz to support the NADA/ATD truck sales incentives.
As part of his lobbying efforts to seek truck sales incentives, Bob Nuss, president of Nuss Truck & Equipment, has hosted Walz at the dealership’s Mankato branch during a customer open house and has spoken to him in Washington during the NADA legislative conference. “Hopefully we can get a favorable highway bill that includes increased gross weights for the federal bridge formula and a real tax incentive to purchase U.S. ’10 heavy-duty trucks,” says Nuss, who encourages other dealers to invite their legislators to their dealers.
