Greatwide Logistics Services has been selected by Hostess Brands Inc. to provide dedicated service for the company’s Southern Florida bakeries. Hostess is one of the largest wholesale bakers and distributors of fresh delivered bread and snack cakes in the United States, including Twinkies, HoHos and WonderBread. Specifically, Greatwide will deliver fresh baked goods, breads and snacks from Hostess’ bakery in Orlando to eight Hostess distribution centers in key locations in south Florida, including Miami.

It will be our job to meet the special demands their customers require when it comes to delivering fresh food products. Greatwide is uniquely positioned to meet the demands of Hostess.”
Greatwide says it was awarded the contract based on proven experience with extremely time-sensitive delivery requirements of customers in the food industry; other reasons cited were track and trace capabilities, flexibility and commitment to sustainable operations. Greatwide says Hostess made the switch in an effort to streamline its South Florida distribution operations, improve efficiencies and generate additional cost savings in the region.
