Intelligent Transportation Systems committee to meet

The Intelligent Transportation Systems Program Advisory Committee will meet Jan. 6, 2011, from 12:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. PT, and Jan. 7, 2011, from 8 a.m. to 12 noon PT in the MetroCenter Auditorium Conference Room, 101 Eighth St., Oakland, Calif.

The ITSPAC was created to advise the U.S. Department of Transportation on all matters relating to the study, development and implementation of intelligent transportation systems. Through its sponsor, the ITS Joint Program Office, the ITSPAC makes recommendations regarding ITS program needs, objectives, plans, approaches, content and progress.

The meeting will be open to the public, but space will be available on a first-come first-served basis. Members of the public who wish to present oral statements at the meeting must request approval from Stephen Glasscock, the committee-designated federal officer, at 202-366-9126 no later than Dec. 27.
