Arsenault Associates, producers of Dossier Fleet Maintenance Software, has released a revised Vendor Evaluation Tool (VET), an interactive calculator to help fleets choose among technology providers. An earlier version of Arsenault’s VET specifically addressed suppliers of fleet maintenance management software. The new version is designed to evaluate virtually any provider of fleet software, from dispatch to document management to maintenance and more.

“The quality of a vendor is as important as the technology they provide,” says Charlie Arsenault, chief executive officer. “This calculator will suggest questions fleet people may otherwise not think to ask. The VET applies a numerical value to each answer. Then each vendor’s score can be compared alongside their technology.”

The VET is available on the Arsenault website in two forms, as a PDF and as an Excel spreadsheet. The spreadsheet version is interactive with built-in calculations. A user need only enter the requested information. The PDF version includes all the questions, but calculations are manual.

Both PDF and XLS versions of the VET calculator are available at this site.
