A Roush CleanTech propane autogas-powered Ford E-350 cargo van will be on display at the Advanced Technology SuperHighway exhibit at the Washington Auto Show from Jan. 28 to Feb. 6 in Washington D.C. Dejana, a U.S. distributor for Roush CleanTech’s liquid propane autogas fuel system, will feature the van as a part of the exhibit.

“We supply a lot of truck equipment to fleets and municipalities and have worked closely with them on their alternative fuel initiatives,” says Andy Dejana, vice president of Dejana Truck & Utility Equipment. “We are excited about the propane autogas technology and have found that it is simple, cost-effective and a proven performer.”

The 65,000-square-foot Advanced Technology SuperHighway exhibit will present the latest automotive innovations in safety and sustainability, including propane autogas, electric, diesel, natural gas, advanced petroleum, biofuels, ethanol, hydrogen and safety technologies. Consumers and legislators will have the opportunity to view alternative fuel vehicles, such as this propane autogas van, up close.

Roush CleanTech’s President Joe Thompson calls propane autogas a “right here, right now” fuel alternative with a national infrastructure already in place. “This cost-effective environmentally-friendly fuel is available today, with many vehicle products offerings including trucks and vans,” Thompson says. “And beyond it’s proven green benefits, propane is domestically produced, reducing our country’s dependence on imported oil.”
