Red Dot Corp., a provider of heating and air conditioning for commercial and military vehicles, announced the appointment of Robert Gardiner as national sales manager for the company’s aftermarket business. Gardiner started his career at Red Dot in 1982 and has worked in nearly every area of the business, including managerial roles in aftermarket sales, distribution and customer support. He most recently served as marketing manager.

“Robert is the ideal person to lead our aftermarket sales organization,” says Bruce Channer, vice president and chief financial officer. “He has strong relationships with our warehouse distributors and field sales representatives, and has been integral to the success of our private-label OE parts programs. Most importantly, Robert’s knowledge of our product line and aftermarket programs gives us continuity heading into spring 2011.”

Red Dot provides aftermarket HVAC units and replacement parts for heavy-duty vehicles and off-highway equipment. The company has a worldwide network of nearly 200 authorized aftermarket or export distributors in North America, Europe, Asia, South America, and Australia. It offers a catalog of all-makes parts, accessories and unit kits, and supplies private-label HVAC parts.

Product applications include vehicles and equipment used in construction, mining, agriculture, forestry, military, commercial freight and fire/rescue services. Based in Seattle, Red Dot has 400 employees in the United States, Europe, Mexico and China, and more than 175 aftermarket distributor locations in North America.
