Dixon Hughes announced that it will be partnering with Keith Ely & Associates to host a series on succession planning for heavy truck dealers. The four-part series, entitled “Building a Roadmap for the Future,” will kick off at the 2011 ATD Convention and Exposition in Phoenix on April 15.

“Given the ATD’s expanded emphasis on the next generation of dealers, I am thrilled that there will be this level of educational series, focused solely on the elements of dealership succession, provided at the 2011 ATD Convention in Phoenix this year,” says Kyle Treadway, ATD chairman.

The first topic in the series, “The Emotional Planning & Transition,” will offer a luncheon address by Hugh Roberts and Jeff Faulkner of The Rawls Group, as well as a panel discussion to be moderated by Denise Rondini, executive editor of Successful Dealer, and will include dealers Jack Saum Jr. of Beltway International and Rick Reynolds of Peach State Truck Center.

“Our Dealer Services Group is especially excited to be working with Keith Ely & Associates to bring together dealers and industry thought leaders that are well versed in every aspect of dealership succession,” says Butch Williams, industry leader for the Dixon Hughes Dealer Services Group. “With ATD announcing at its annual convention this year the launch of the ‘Next Generation’ program for truck dealers, we could not be more excited about complementing those efforts to help dealers with their business succession planning.”
