Polar Corp. announced the appointment of Michael Evans as president of Polar Service Centers, one of three companies under the Polar umbrella.

“We are experiencing tremendous growth in our tanker business as we continue to build our market share leadership position,” says Ted Fick, president and chief executive officer of Polar Corp. “To support that growth, it’s vital to have a strong and healthy service network, and that’s what our Polar Service Centers provide. We grew from 20 to 29 locations in 2010 and have plans to add 15 to 25 locations within the next 24 months. Michael will lead the charge in supporting our customers through expansion and strategic growth.”

Evans, who replaces Craig Fisher, joins the company after serving as vice president of aftermarket for Oshkosh Commercial Group in Dodge Center, Minn., where he was responsible for the strategic and operational support of the Oshkosh Commercial Group across all their market channels. Prior to Oshkosh, he served as vice president of product support for Komatsu America.

“Michael’s career has been entirely focused in the transportation industry, primarily in parts and service,” Fick says. “He has deep product support experience, and that includes inventory management for multiple sites throughout North America.”
