Blue Sky Network, a provider of satellite tracking and communication solutions for land, sea and aviation, announced the addition of Hamza Mohammed as director of business development for Middle East and Africa. Based in Kuwait, Mohammed brings more than a decade of experience and has spent the bulk of his career providing satellite communications and tracking solutions in MEA where GSM coverage is limited and satellite solutions are required for tracking and communicating.
Prior to joining Blue Sky Network, Mohammed was with Fleet Management Solutions as MEA regional manager. He also was with Streamlink Communications, where he delivered a range of services and solutions to the MEA region, specifically voice and data connectivity solutions with Iridium Satellite. Blue Sky Network is a Tier One Partner of Iridium.
“Hamza’s knowledge of the MEA market and of fleet management products, as well as his technical skills in satellite communications, make him the ideal fit,” says Jon Gilbert, Blue Sky Network chief executive officer. “He will provide valuable insight to our customers in MEA, where asset tracking and communication via Iridium is essential.”
