Heartland Express announced it recently received two service awards from FedEx Express for fiscal year 2011: the FedEx “Core Carrier of the Year” award and the “Gold Award for 99.83% On-Time Service” for 2011. For 2011, FedEx Express implemented new service targets for its “Core Carriers,” and Heartland Express rose to the top of the four carriers who reached these new objectives.
Heartland Express has held the top spot for on-time service to FedEx Express for 6 consecutive years (2006-2011), each time reaching service levels near perfect each year. 2011 also marks the fourth year that Heartland Express has received the “Carrier of the Year” award for FedEx Express.
