Gordon Trucking Inc. announced the company’s Aug. 16 acquisition of Midwest trucking company Buske Lines Inc., currently headquartered in Edwardsville, Ill. Buske serves customers throughout the Midwest and Southeast and, like Gordon, is a U.S. Environmental Protection Agency SmartWay Transport Partner.
Gordon, based in Seattle, says the expansion will create additional truck driving career opportunities throughout the Midwest Region. In the deal, terms of which were not announced, Gordon obtained Buske’s 150 power units and 375 refrigerated and dry-van trailers.
Along with the assets, Gordon also acquired a 35,000-square-foot shop located in Pontoon Beach, Ill. Gordon says the Pontoon Beach facility will serve as its new maintenance, truck driver and operations center, adding truck capacity to the Midwest market and complementing its operations in Indianapolis and Green Bay, Wis.
