Donaldson opens three new test labs

Donaldson Co., a worldwide manufacturer of filtration systems and parts, announced the opening of three new test labs in China, India and the United States to further support its customers’ around the world.

At the company’s regional headquarters in Wuxi, China, Donaldson added a new testing lab in the Greater China R&D Center to support the expansion of the company’s Engine Products business in the region. The lab is capable of conducting a variety of performance testing, including high-precision restriction curves, dust holding capacity, initial and overall efficiencies, and water separation efficiency per the latest test standards.

At its regional headquarters and manufacturing plant in Gurgaon, State of Haryana, India, Donaldson expanded its facility to include a new air intake testing lab. Donaldson says the new lab gives engineering teams full capability to provide air intake testing and product development support to our local customers.

“Donaldson has a global network of scientists and engineers working to design next-generation filtration technologies for our customers around the world,” says Jay Ward, senior vice president, engine products. “As we broaden our footprint within developed and emerging markets, these new labs will support the rigorous testing our products must endure and give us the ability to implement critical performance tests quickly, efficiently and much closer to the point of use.”

Donaldson Torit – a division of Donaldson’s Industrial Filtration Solutions business that designs, manufactures and markets industrial air filtration and pollution control systems, replacement filters and products that reduce dust, fume and mist contaminants – opened a new test lab in Bloomington, Minn., to evaluate combustible and noncombustible materials in new and existing filtration products. The lab is environmentally controlled and features full suppression and isolation equipment, and will allow Torit to run full-sized tests onsite, accelerating product development that in the past had to be done in the field under uncontrolled conditions.
