Anderson Trucking Service Inc. recently received Great West Risk Management’s Platinum Award for Safety and Operational Excellence for 2010. The award – based on various criteria such as loss results, prompt and fair claims settlement practices, timely reporting of claims, innovative loss prevention programs and demonstrated operational excellence – is for Great West client carriers with 1,000 trucks or more.

“This award is presented to Great West Casualty Company clients who met objective criteria related to safety and claims for 2010,” says Ron Lawson, president of Great West Risk Management. “Anderson Trucking Service represents the qualities that make Great West Casualty proud to be their insurer.”

“Safety must be a top priority in the trucking business,” says Scott Anderson, vice president of safety and risk management for the St. Cloud, Minn.-based company. “Trucking is a unique business, generating much of its revenue in an uncontrolled environment where trucks and the motoring public are continually interacting. At ATS, everyone understands to be responsible and successful because every individual has an impact on safety. Receiving such an award provides recognition to all our drivers, contractors and staff throughout North America.”
