Rare Bird Trading opens Asia, U.S. operations

Longistics, a provider of global logistics solutions, announced that Vice Chairman Pat Long has launched the Rare Bird Trading Co. to help U.S. and China business owners extend their marketplace to overseas retailers, particularly the growing Asian market. Rare Bird Trading, located at World Trade Park in Raleigh, N.C., and Rare Bird Trading (Suzhou) Co., Ltd., known as Ru Bi Lin in Suzhou, China, partner with each other to serve as a bridge to businesses and services by assisting them in selling their products and services to China, greater Asia and the United States, including global sourcing, customs assistance, import/export assistance and logistics.

Long will continue to serve as vice chairman of Longistics as well as chief executive officer of Rare Bird Trading. Her company has partnered with Longistics, a cold chain specialist, to assist businesses participating at the Suzhou Industrial Park International Commodities Exhibition Center in Suzhou, China. The exhibition center offers American companies an opportunity to introduce their products or services to the Chinese and greater Asia markets through a permanent year-round showroom. Rare Bird Trading will be partnering with the exhibiting companies to help market their products and services while in China as well.
