LeanLogistics, a global solutions provider of transportation management system applications and supply chain services, and Topco Associates will present “Leveraging Technology to Expand Transportation Services” at the CSCMP Annual Global Conference 2011 in Philadelphia. The session will be held at the Pennsylvania Convention Center on Monday, Oct. 3, 2011, at 10 a.m. in room 202B. No early registration is required.
Topco provides procurement, quality assurance, packaging and other services for its member-owners, which include supermarket retailers, wholesalers and foodservice companies. Topco says that by leveraging LeanLogistics’ technology and transportation network, it is able to maintain control of carriers and processes internally while automating operations where feasible. Topco says it also uses a true Software-as-a-Service transportation management system to reduce total-freight spend and monitor key metrics across its supply chain while improving services.
“With LeanLogistics technologies, Topco has been able to reduce transportation costs and benchmark to find optimal rates and service KPIs,” says Lorne Brown, director of logistics at Topco. “We’re excited to share our story with this year’s conference attendees.”
