Aerofficient, a designer and manufacturer of aerodynamic enhancement devices for heavy-duty truck trailers, announced at the 85th Annual Ontario Trucking Association Convention the opening of a Canadian subsidiary, Aerofficient Canada Inc., that will be headquartered in Windsor, Ontario, to better serve increased demand from Canadian trucking companies.

“The demand was such that we determined that a local business versus a cross-border business was needed,” says Jim Reiman, chief executive officer of Aerofficient. “Although trailer fairings are increasing in popularity in the U.S., Canadian fleets have been using them for quite a while now. To meet their needs and to assure that we can deliver to our Canadian customers the same superior service that we provide our American customers, creating a domestic Canadian company was necessary.”

Aerofficient’s fairings are produced from an injection-molded automotive-grade thermoplastic polyolefin material designed to withstand thermal expansion and contraction caused by extremes of heat and cold. In addition, the hinged three-panel design of Aerofficient’s fairings provides added strength and flexibility to withstand the everyday rigors of trucking.

“We made our product to withstand the rigors of trucking, and our Canadian customers really put us to the test,” says Reiman. “Our sales in Canada prove that we’ve passed this test and that we are here to stay.”
