Love Travel Stops announced that its No. 316 location in Ormond Beach, Fla., can only allow trucks to “fuel and go” during Bike Week, scheduled for March 8-18. The location at the I-95/U.S. Highway 1 exit is next door to Daytona Harley Davidson, which is a major participant in Bike Week, causing an unusually high traffic volume in and around the area. During the event, no long-term truck parking will be available at the Love’s location.

Love’s says the increased traffic volumes for truckers waiting to fuel – combined with the significant influx of cars, trucks and motorcycles during that week – has in the past caused traffic jams to the point that state police have had to close the exit. Love’s says it wants to provide the necessary fueling for professional truck driver customers, and in order to ensure that is still available, trucks will need to continue moving in and out at that exit.
