Interstate Distributor Co. announced that Marc Rogers has joined the organization as president and chief executive officer. Rogers joins Interstate from Schneider National, where he was senior vice president of the van truckload division. Rogers began his transportation career at Knight Transportation.

“Our goal with Interstate is to build the best trucking company in America,” says Tim Engle, president of Saltchuk Resources, Interstate’s parent company. “Marc brings the leadership and commitment to safety, service and exceptional performance to build upon Interstate’s proud history.”

Rogers previously built some of the most successful regional operations in the trucking industry. While Interstate historically has been known for its large presence in the West, the Tacoma, Wash.-based company launched regional services in the Midwest and Southeast earlier this year to expand its footprint.
