Reddaway has been honored by two trucking organizations – the California Trucking Association and the Colorado Motor Carriers Association – for outstanding safety performance in 2011.

The California Trucking Association presented a Fleet Safety Award to Reddaway for placing second in the over-seven-million-miles linehaul/less-than-truckload category in its annual Safety Awards Program. CTA also honored Reddaway with the Charlie Giles Award for Most Improved Fleet Safety. Last year, Reddaway placed third in the over-four-million-miles LTL/general commodities local/short haul category.

CTA evaluated more than 55 companies on a number of objective safety-performance criteria. Categories included but were not limited to documented policies and procedures, accident ratios, recruiting systems, training programs and participation in CTA safety activities.

“Our Reddaway professionals work tirelessly to uphold the highest levels of workplace and highway safety,” says Dave Yonemoto, director of safety at Reddaway. “We are proud to receive such recognition for their effort. We aim to make this achievement just one of many landmarks on our continued pursuit of safety excellence.”

In addition, the Colorado Motor Carriers Association announced that Reddaway placed third in its 2011 annual Fleet Safety Contest in the less-than-truckload, less than three-million-miles category.
