Qualcomm teams with InstallerNet to support MCP50

To increase market acceptance of its new MCP50, Qualcomm has partnered with InstallerNet to provide a cost-effective installation option for fleets adopting the MCP50. This collaboration adds an estimated 1,100 fleet installation technicians to significantly expand the footprint of Qualcomm’s existing coverage, offering fleets broad access to local installation and service resources.

“We are ensuring fleets have affordable and convenient installation options to make it as easy as possible to take advantage of the safety, compliance and productivity benefits of this new platform,” says Norm Ellis, vice president of sales, services and marketing for Qualcomm Enterprise Services. “By teaming up with InstallerNet, we can now offer our customers access to a nationwide network of highly-trained and certified service providers to quickly and cost-effectively install the MCP50 on their trucks, wherever they may be.”

The MCP50 provides small- to medium-sized fleets with a lower-cost MCP option and augments the company’s existing MCP100, MCP110 and MCP200 products. “The MCP50 is ideal for fleets that want a solution that highlights key contributors to the bottom line. It has all the right features.”

Ellis says the MCP50’s lower price point ($799) also makes it an attractive option for private fleet operations. “Private fleets are cost-conscious; it’s not about generating revenue, it’s about driving down costs,” he says.

Qualcomm also announced plans to bring its Circle of Service Workflow and Trip Manager applications to the MCP50 later this summer. With the introduction of these applications, Qualcomm says private fleets can now more readily take advantage of the cost-effective, industry-leading safety, compliance and productivity solutions delivered by the MCP50.

Qualcomm’s Circle of Service Workflow and Trip Manager applications, already available on the MCP110 and MCP200 platforms, are designed to help fleets increase back-office efficiency, enhance driver productivity and improve customer service. Circle of Service Workflow and Trip Manager also complement the benefits delivered by other applications available on the MCP50: Qualcomm Hours of Service, CSA Safety Performance Service, Vehicle Inspection Report, Analytics Manager, Critical Event Reporting, Performance Monitoring with Fuel Manager and In-Cab Navigation.
