Pilot Flying J has appointed Jimmy Haslam as chairman, Mark Hazelwood as president, John Compton as chief executive officer, and Ken Parent as executive vice president.

Haslam, who announced the new roles via a letter to customers, said that during Hazelwood’s 27 years with Pilot Flying J, he has lead the company in the development of the company’s travel center network, direct bill program, travel center scanning systems, diesel exhaust fluid network, hedging programs, EFS/ZCon “and many other innovative programs that have brought what we believe is true value to our trucking company partners.”

“Mark is a leader and entrepreneur in our industry, and I am proud to announce his promotion to you,” Haslam said. Parent will continue to lead the company’s operations team. Compton, who comes to Pilot Flying J from PepsiCo where he served as president, will join Pilot Flying J on Oct. 15.

Haslam said he will continue to manage the company’s petroleum operations. “I believe that with the continued innovation and leadership from Mark, Ken and now with John, Pilot Flying J will continue our growth that we have enjoyed over the last decade,” he said.
