XRS Corporation, (formerly Xata Corporation), announced that it will launch its Driver Xperience Board — a “listening panel” made up of truck drivers from diverse segments of the industry — with a special event during the Mid-American Trucking Show (MATS), Thursday, March 21 from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m.

While fleet managers and logistics experts may make big-picture choices about technology implementation, the drivers are in control of daily decision-making and interact most closely with in-cab technology products like XRS, the company says.

The purpose of the Driver Xperience Board is to listen to the driver and understand how life on the road impacts the technology that companies offer. XRS plans to leverage feedback from the Board to develop and implement driver-focused features for its XRS mobile fleet optimization platform, which is now available for sale.

“We believe in listening to the driver, the person with hands on the wheel and a real knowledge about how things work on the road,” said Ryan Barnett, director of market development for XRS. “Our goal has always been to develop products that make life easier and better for the driver, and we are excited to get valuable input from our Driver Xperience Board members who are willing to share their honest opinions.”

The XRS Driver Xperience Board kicks off its first meeting with a driver-only event at Churchill Downs. The inaugural meeting will include dinner and door prizes, and XRS will provide transportation.

Drivers interested in attending can sign up at http://xrs.tv/driverboard anytime before March 21.
