PeopleNet Canada to hold symposium April 29-30

PeopleNet  Canada, a Trimble company and provider of fleet mobility technology that optimizes performance and decision-making, announced that its annual symposium will address the trucking industry’s toughest challenges. The symposium, open to all Canadian-based carriers, is slated for April 29-30 at Queen’s Landing Resort, Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario.

A carrier roundtable moderated by Geoff Wood, vice president of operations and safety for the Ontario Trucking Association, will discuss the impact of the latest Federal Motor Carrier Safety Association’s electronic log device proposal on Canadian carriers’ operations. Zurich Canada will weigh in on how fleet telematics is changing the insurance world.

PeopleNet presenters will discuss how customers are using the company’s Tailored Solutions and Professional Services groups to:
·      Become more efficient with a customized workflow application and an integration between payroll and electronic driver logs
·      Eliminate trailer fires with a custom spike braking alert application
·      Maximize performance and ROI with best practices in project management and process standardization
