ATA-logo3American Trucking Associations is seeking nominations for the eighth annual Mike Russell Trucking Industry Image Award.

The award, first handed out in 2006, honors trucking companies, state associations and industry suppliers who creatively generate positive awareness of the trucking industry.

“As our industry continues to make great strides in safety and environmental sustainability while continuing to play an essential role in the U.S. economy, there has never been a more important time to tell our story,” says ATA President and CEO Bill Graves. “Each year, we look to honor those carriers, state associations and allied companies who go the extra mile to promote this industry that we are all so proud of.”

Submissions will be evaluated by an impartial panel of judges based on creativity, execution and impact. All submissions must be submitted to the image campaign by September 11, 2014. Winners will be announced in October during ATA’s annual Management Conference & Exhibition in San Diego.

“Trucking is such a vital part of the American story, and we’re honored to help recognize those companies and associations that go above and beyond to tell that story in creative and positive ways,” says David Wangler, president of TMW Systems, the award sponsor.
