Freight business-process outsourcing company DDC FPO is launching its unique back-office solution, iCapture for Freight Billing, at the 2014 American Trucking Associations’ Management Conference and Exhibition in San Diego this week.
The new addition to DDC’s suite of offerings uses highly intelligent, context-based technology designed to eliminate human error, enabling motor carriers to streamline mission-critical data more efficiently and accurately.

iCapture for Freight Billing captures data from critical fields that other solutions do not, explained Chard Crotty, vice president of sales: cash on delivery, hazardous material details, accessorials and even hand-written information. The optical character recognition-based system can accept images in virtually any common format, he added.
The program is completely customizable and “grows smarter” with every bill of lading it processes, allowing for significantly enhanced quality in overall business process management, as well scalability and accelerated turnaround time.
Users can expect reductions in manual entry by 80 percent from the beginning, Crotty said. iCaptiure also exports to any client-preferred system
