Green Mountain Kenworth has opened a new parts and service location in Pittsford, Vt., to provide expanded service support to customers and truck operators in the greater Rutland area of West Central Vermont.
Green Mountain Kenworth – Pittsford sits on 10 acres at 1385 U.S. Route 7, about 6 miles north of the intersection of U.S. Route 7 and U.S. Route 4, two major highways in Vermont. The 13,000-square-foot location offers five dedicated service bays, a wash bay, and has a 1,800-square-foot parts department with ample room for parts display and inventory. The new location joins Green Mountain Kenworth’s flagship store located in Shelburne, Vt., about 60 miles north of Pittsford.
“We expect a lot of interest in this new location from local customers and truck operators traveling through the area seeking better and more convenient service support in a part of Vermont that needs it,” said David Stebbins, general manager for Green Mountain Kenworth. “Rutland County sits in the center of the state, located near the halfway point between Boston to the south and Montreal to the north. So, our new location offers a convenient service stop for major trucking firms on their shipping routes. Plus, our new location can provide service support to more than 20 local trucking fleets in the area, in addition to a variety of vocational truck operators, contractors, pick-up and delivery couriers and food haulers.”
Green Mountain Kenworth – Pittsford is open from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday and 7 a.m. to noon on Saturday. The phone number is 802-725-0533. Paul Sumner, parts manager at Green Mountain’s Shelburne location, will serve as the branch parts manager, and Chris Waterman will serve as the Pittsford branch service manager.
