Diesel prices continue to fall, drop below $2.25 per gallon

Diesel prices dropped nearly 5 cents during Christmas week, falling to $2.235 per gallon nationally.

The 4.9-cent drop during the week marks the seventh consecutive week of falling prices.

Fuel prices dropped in all regions during the week, with the most significant decrease coming in the West Coast less California region, where prices dropped 8.1 cents.

The nation’s most expensive diesel is still in California at $2.609 per gallon, followed by the Central Atlantic region at $2.412 per gallon.

The cheapest diesel can be found in the Gulf Coast region at $2.14 per gallon, followed by the Lower Atlantic region at $2.161 per gallon.
