The EPA has verified the RLB450 has met the low rolling resistance tire performance criteria for new tires being used in the drive position on a line-haul class-8 tractor trailer, the company says. Since 2004, EPA’s SmartWay Technology Program tests and verifies the performance of vehicles, technologies and equipment that have the potential to lower greenhouse gases and other air pollutants from freight transport.
The RLB450 joins six other Double Coin fuel efficient models in the company’s product line.
