All Truck Transportation, a local and regional Midwest truckload carrier, has signed a five-year agreement with Lytx to implement its DriveCam safety program. The decision was made following a three-month head-to-head competitive trial and evaluation.

“Our employees are our biggest asset. We’re excited to have found a solution that has proven so effective in protecting our drivers and the communities we operate in,” said Nino Alagna, All Truck’s President. “All Truck has core values we take very seriously, and they start with safety.”

All Truck Transportation operates a fleet of 350 power units.

In the first six months, All Truck has seen a reduction in the following risky behaviors that led to fewer and less-severe collisions:

·       69 percent reduction in unbelted drivers on residential roadways

·       52 percent reduction in red-light traffic violations

·       44 percent reduction in handheld cell phone use

All Truck implemented Lytx’s ER-SV2 event recorder and DriveCam safety program along with the Lytx ActiveVision service. ActiveVision uses machine learning and a precision analytics algorithm to detect and capture driving patterns consistent with distracted and drowsy driving.

All Truck drivers receive real-time alerts as part of the ActiveVision service for immediate self-correction. They also receive online coaching remotely.

“Lytx’s integrated video command center remote coaching option allows me to get in touch with my drivers quickly and removes the burden of waiting for a phone call or going out to meet them in the field, which can occupy several days,” said Don Henderson, All Truck Safety Director. “Our drivers benefit because they’re able to review coaching clips on their own time on their company tablet. The system isn’t intrusive or threatening.”

Lytx’s DriveCam safety program combines video capture of road incidents, such as hard braking or sudden swerving, data analysis of those incidents and personalized coaching insights to. Lytx says DriveCam has been associated with an up to 50 percent reduction in collisions.
