Liquid bulk carrier Heniff Transportation acquires Miller Transporters

Heniff Transportation Systems, headquartered in Oakbrook, Ill., announced the acquisition of Miller Transporters, Miller Intermodal Logistic Services and its affiliates.

Heniff Transportation Systems semi truck parked among other trucksThe companies will continue to be operated separately, Heniff said, as it enhances the ability to leverage the resources of both organizations. The transaction provides the customers of both companies access to a network of one of the largest liquid bulk chemical fleets in the industry. The new network of terminals will consist of 40 locations, 1100 tractors and nearly 3000 trailers. Terminal locations will be in 18 states with coverage to all of the continental United StatesCanada and Mexico.

In addition to a greater terminal density, Heniff says its mutual customers will have enhanced service offerings that include third party logistics, new ISO/Depot locations and tank wash facilities. The management of both companies will remain in place with Bob Heniff, CEO of Heniff Transportation Systems and Lee Miller as president and COO of Miller Transporters and Steve Haskins as the President of MILS.
