Dan & Jerry’s is a Minnesota-based grower and transporter of live plants in the Midwest. The company was seeking an electronic logging system that would appeal to its fleet of contracted drivers.
The company selected Rand McNally’s DC 200 S and TND 740 all-in-one system based on the DriverConnect platform that includes truck-specific navigation.
“We considered and tested a variety of leading industry providers for our E-Log needs, but ultimately chose Rand McNally’s because it’s easy to install, has built-in award-winning truck navigation, and is affordable to maintain,” said Jake Totushek, fleet Manager of Dan & Jerry’s.
The DC 200 S module in conjunction with the TND 740 creates an all-in-one dashboard for E-Log, truck navigation and fleet management.
“It would be a nightmare if our temp drivers had to use their own tablets or devices in tandem with an ELD, but now they’re all good to go,” continued Totushek. “They have to learn a new system quickly when they sign on for seasonal work, which can be tough. But, with Rand McNally, the easy-to-use interface means that training time is low and we can get them out on the road faster.”
