Premier Bulk Systems, a Heniff family of companies (CCJ Top 250, No. 64) subsidiary based in Gormley, Ontario, has acquired Longhorn Transportation. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Longhorn Transportation, based in Berry Mills, New Brunswick, is Premier’s first commercial expansion into the Maritime Provinces. The addition of Longhorn and its 30 trucks and 45 tankers is complementary to Premier’s operating network, said Premier Bulk Systems Founder & President Kevin Berry, "and leaves us well-positioned for ongoing commercial success and future growth.”
Founded in 2004, Longhorn Transportation is a liquid bulk carrier specializing in the transport of petroleum products, asphalt, acids and other high-performance chemicals. The company is located just outside Moncton, New Brunswick – the most populous city in the Province and rests in the geographic center of the Maritime Provinces.
“We are very excited to join the Premier team,” said Ryan Butland, Founder and President of Longhorn Transportation. “The moment we started working together and building a relationship, we knew this was a great fit. Premier’s values, goals and work ethic align perfectly with the Longhorn brand. This relationship will continue to advance our team forward while continuing our commitment to safety and service for our valued customers.”
