Freight tech company Truckstop.com is expanding its financial capabilities with its latest acquisition.

Denim, a transportation-focused fintech company and factoring service, is now part of the Truckstop ecosystem of products, recognized as “Denim, Powered by Truckstop.com.” Denim automates invoicing, reduces time-to-cash and optimizes back-office processes.

This is one of several acquisitions in the freight tech space in recent months, including Overhaul's acquisition of FreightVerify and DAT's acquisition of Convoy's technology from Flexport, among others.

With the addition of Denim’s recourse factoring product and automation technology, Truckstop.com customers gain access to faster payment options, modernized service, and flexible pricing.

"Carriers and brokers today are demanding tools to help them work more profitably, more efficiently and more securely,” said Truckstop.com CEO Scott Moscrip. “With Denim, we can better deliver across all three of these priorities. We’re excited for our carriers and brokers who will experience improved cash flow, lower operating costs and reduced risk."

This acquisition aims to help both carriers and brokers make their freight businesses more secure and easier to manage.

Combining Denim’s financial technologies with Truckstop.com's freight matching and carrier identity solutions enhances operational stability, improves liquidity and reduces business risk.

Sean Dehan, vice president of corporate strategy, said Denim’s full-stack native factoring and payments management system creates a platform driven by automation, orchestrated processes and workflows with human judgment and process. He said Denim also developed its own AI platform to build bespoke automations and agentic workflows, removing repetitive and low-judgment tasks from natural bottlenecks.

“Practically, this results in better data and reporting for customers and better user experience in terms of self-service, speed of funding and configuration,” Dehan said. “In sum, these investments and the end-to-end native integration of the platform result in best-in-industry funding times, reduced back-office headcount for Denim's broker customers, instant payment capabilities and a magical customer and user experience.”

Denim’s investments in AI and automation technology have resulted in 75% of payments processed in under one minute.

Truckstop's broker customers can now improve their cash flow and upgrade their accounts receivable and accounts payable processes without having to hire an accounting team in their back office, said Jon Skipper, senior analyst of strategy and corporate development at Truckstop.com.

For owner-operators, Denim enhances Truckstop.com’s existing factoring offering with faster payments, access to back-office automation tools designed for growing carriers, more flexible pricing and customer service powered by advanced, modern technology.
