Trail King’s Mechanical Detachable Gooseneck trailer – available in 60,000-, 75,000- and 90,000-pound capacities – is designed to deliver lightweight strength and maximum corrosion resistance. The upper deck and wheel area both feature aluminum crossmembers and outer rails as standard equipment; the crossmembers in the main deck are 8-inch I-beams alternating with 4-inch I-beams for 12-inch spacing in the outer bays.
Four steel main I-beams are constructed of one-piece web and flange material welded on all four sides to help seal and protect the seams from rust and corrosion. All steel is primed and painted with two-component urethane primer and two-component polyurethane paint before decking or any air, hydraulic or electrical lines are installed; the deck and wheel area both are primed and painted separately before being huckbolted together.
The wheel area is designed with a longer and deeper mini-boom trough to help accommodate the hitches on agriculture equipment as well as many kinds of construction equipment. Other standard equipment includes:
• A flip-reinforced gooseneck;
• Removable gooseneck rollers;
• An air-activated positive self-locking gooseneck pin;
• Bent-style D-rings and outrigger brackets;
• Adjustable ride height control; and
• A “wide load” sign, flag and strobe light brackets.
