A repo driver in Texas was shot in the chest Tuesday morning while towing a repossessed car on a rural road north of Houston.
The Harris County Sheriff’s Office reported on its Facebook page today that the driver “is being stabilized at the hospital” and “seems to be in guarded condition.”
Sheriff’s deputies initially thought they were responding to a crashed wrecker near Interstate 45 in the Houston suburb of Spring when on closer inspection they saw the that driver had been shot.
So far no witnesses have come forward and no arrests have been made. Sheriff’s officials are looking for the owner of the repossessed car and are hoping video from the truck’s cameras can provide some clues, according to click2houston.com.
“Posey is a fantastic employee,” Casey Allison, Coast to Coast Motors operations manager told click2houston.com. “He’s been with us for a few years. Many years in the repossession business. A military vet. Just an outstanding person.”
