Marmon-Herrington’s AWD Conversion option is designed to minimize cab height increase from 10 inches to 5 inches and employs the company’s sub-frames, step-frames and front suspension configurations. The conversion is available for Class 7 and 8 trucks (14,000-22,000-lb. front-axle weight ratings) and is available across various truck models based on specific engine and transmissions configurations. The design supports the latest generation of aerials with the company’s double-reduction planetary front-drive axle that distributes input torque across the entire axle, allowing for a compact ring and pinion gearset that reduces the size of the center section and increases ground clearance and durability.
