Following customers’ suggestions, US Cargo Control, based in Urbana, Iowa, has added a new tie-down rail to its large line-up of cargo restraint straps and devices.Visit the contact page of US Cargo Control’s website and you’ll notice something unusual.
It’s not a catchy slogan, mascot or blazing graphics. It’s two simple sentences that read, “Have a suggestion for a new item? Give us a shout!”
The folks at the Iowa-based cargo restraint company aim to please and take their customers’ ideas seriously. Their latest product is an example.
US Cargo Control Merchandise Category Manager Matt Mitchell says the new gray painted e-track is now available thanks to suggestions from customers who want a neutral-colored tie-down rail.
“We are constantly updating our selection to make sure we have something for everyone, whether it’s a consumer wanting to transport a motorcycle, or one of our business-to-business customers wishing to create a full tie-down system to secure cargo in a fleet of van trailers,” says Mitchell.
The e-track is a popular tie-down rail that’s mounted to the walls and floors of vans, trailers and other enclosed areas where cargo needs to be secured. An e-track is intended to be used with either a ratchet or cam strap, both of which are available through US Cargo. Horizontal or vertical channel models are available in 2 to 10-foot lengths.
The new gray painted e-track costs less than the galvanized version. E-tracks are still available in green, but not for long as that finish is being phased out.
“E-track is extremely versatile in industries ranging from small delivery vans to full-sized van trailers,” Mitchell says.
