00:00 This week’s CCJ Tech Shorts highlights a new camera platform, a telematics and video safety integration and more.

00:18 Netradyne has rolled out its Driver•i D-810, a platform that combines 360 AI capabilities with edge intelligence across up to eight cameras, giving fleets greater visibility into driver behavior and vehicle activity.

With up to eight cameras, blind spots around the cab, sides, rear and trailer are eliminated without relying on the cloud. This level of visibility gives drivers confidence through blind-spot alerts, real-time recognition, and in-cab coaching, and managers gain instant, searchable video evidence to simplify reviews and investigations, while benefiting from stronger safety culture, reduced litigation risk, and measurable operational savings.

The dual- and quad-lens windshield cameras are over 80% smaller than previous models, reducing obstruction while preserving AI accuracy. The processing hub supports multiple configurations, giving fleets scalability. For drivers, an optional in-cab monitor streams blind spot views during turns, lane changes, and reversing. Paired with automated AI audio alerts, the system functions as a real-time co-pilot, building safer habits and greater confidence behind the wheel.

Advanced edge processing delivers instant AI analysis without relying on cloud connectivity, ensuring safety alerts are continuously operational, while reducing bandwidth costs and protecting fleet data with on-device intelligence. This on-device processing means fleets can maintain safety performance even in areas with poor connectivity, while sensitive video data remains secure within the vehicle.

01:51 DAT Freight & Analytics has released significant updates to its DAT One load board to help carriers find quality loads quickly, negotiate better rates with fresher market data, and feel confident they are connecting with freight brokers they can trust.

Rate information on DAT One now updates more frequently across all subscription levels. DAT One Enhanced now has 15-day rate averages instead of 30; DAT One Pro now has 7-day rate averages instead of 15; and DAT One Select & DAT One Office have best-available averages.

Rates are powered by RateView, DAT’s database of more than $1 trillion in verified freight transactions. With fresher benchmarks, carriers can approach negotiations knowing they have the latest market rates, helping them negotiate pricing with confidence.

The LaneMakers feature in DAT One can identify the 20 most active freight brokers posting loads on a given lane, complete with credit scores and company profiles. It helps carriers find loads fast by targeting brokers who consistently post on their preferred lanes.

02:57 Geotab’s telematics has integrated with Lytx’s video safety technology. In addition, Lytx+ with Geotab is now offering the Geotab GO Anywhere device, designed to monitor the location of powered and non-powered assets within the Lytx+ with Geotab all-in-one fleet platform.

The video-powered unified solution offers fleets one contract, one installation, one user interface, one bill, and one driver app.

The integration includes video safety with real-time driver behavior monitoring, incident detection, and risk management; advanced telematics features like fuel management, vehicle diagnostics, route optimization, and regulatory compliance (including U.S. ELD and IFTA); on-demand video retrieval and up to 400 hours of continuous footage for accelerated claims processing and service verification; vehicle compatibility, supporting over 9,000 vehicle years, makes, and models, including more than 300 electric vehicles; comprehensive EV support with suitability assessments, battery health reporting, and sustainability metrics; and fully synchronized, customizable data and reporting for complete operational visibility.

04:06 Canadian freight tech company Nomad Fuel has launched a new fuel management product. Its rebuilt platform is designed to change the outdated way that fleets purchase, track and optimize fuel spend by combining access to deep cross-border fuel discounts with advanced data-driven tools.

These are the updates to the platform:

  • Real-time visibility & smarter insights with an interactive dashboard, live price tracking down to the truck stop, transparent rack discounts, and a fuel map.
  • AI-powered fraud detection with flagged transaction alerts, driver-level rejection monitoring, and customizable card controls.
  • Driver empowerment tools for drivers to track spend, locate the cheapest fuel stops, and view amenities, plus automated invoicing for owner-operators.
  • And a reporting suite with on-demand reports, tax automation, and easy integration into accounting systems - all backed by 24/7 support via call, text, or WhatsApp.
