00:00 This week’s CCJ Tech Shorts features Fleetworthy’s new toll management capability, Samsara’s new AI coaching experience and more.
00:20 Fleetworthy has rolled out a new AI-enabled automated toll management capability that gives fleets a complete view of toll costs.
Toll360 is a real-time, end-to-end toll solution that enables fleets to predict, validate, reconcile and recover toll costs as they occur – all within the toll payment platform.
Using GPS and ELD route data, Toll360 predicts toll charges shortly after a vehicle completes a trip, allowing fleets to understand toll costs in real-time rather than waiting weeks for invoices. As toll charges are posted, Toll360 automatically reconciles those charges against predicted tolls and actual vehicle travel to identify discrepancies without manual review.
When mismatches are detected, Toll360 automatically submits eligible toll disputes, tracks dispute status, and records recovered credits, eliminating the need for phone calls, emails, and tracking spreadsheets.
All Toll360 activity is visible within a single operational view through the Bestpass by Fleetworthy toll portal.
01:20 Samsara has unveiled a new AI-powered coaching experience designed to deliver personalized, real-time guidance to drivers.
Samsara Coach is an added feature to the provider’s existing Automated Coaching Solution. The new capability provides an even more interactive, personalized and scalable offering for managers and drivers focused on road safety.
Built on Samsara’s agentic AI foundation, Samsara Coach analyzes real-time data to detect risk and help managers coach thousands of drivers simultaneously. It uses a proprietary risk model trained on more than 20 data points and more than 50 situational factors, like weather and coaching history. This allows the AI to understand context, ensuring feedback is fair, balanced and focused on long-term behavioral change rather than one-off mistakes.
Instead of one-way in-cab alerts, the feature also initiates a two-way AI voice check-in through the dash cam during high-risk moments like drowsiness or speeding to verify responsiveness and prevent accidents. By asking the driver questions, the AI actively restores cognitive alertness in real-time.
02:24 The fourth-annual National Motor Freight Traffic Association Cybersecurity Conference is open for early bird registration.
The conference, which will be held Sept. 29 to Oct. 2 in Long Beach, Calif., aims to equip fleet executives, IT and cybersecurity leaders, researchers and technology partners with practical takeaways and strategies to protect today’s transportation operations against evolving cyber threats.
The 2026 program will feature keynotes, workshops, fireside chats, hands-on tabletop exercises and technical sessions that pair strategic insight with real-world application. Full details will be released in the coming months.
03:03 Reveel has expanded its parcel shipping intelligence platform into a comprehensive, mode-agnostic solution that spans parcel, air, ocean, rail, less-than-truckload and full truckload with the launch of a new modern freight audit and payment solution.
